CBC’s Canada Reads is an annual “battle of the books” where five celebrity panelists will be championing their chosen book as the one book they think all Canadians should read. Homes: a Refugee Story was one of the five contenders and defended gracefully by rock star Chuck Comeau, the drummer from Simple Plan.
Presented with intelligence and class, Chuck Comeau got Homes: A Refugee Story to the final round of debates in March 2019.
